Scottish Community Foundation

The Scottish Community Foundation (SCF) has undertaken to provide all the day-to-day administrative functions in addition to operational management and governance of the Fund and advice on strategy. The SCF is itself a registered charity established in 1996 and has considerable experience in supporting local communities in Scotland

Advisory Committee

In the absence of a requirement for formal trustees because of the role played by the SCF, an Advisory Committee made up of local representatives from within the community has the following remit:

  • To decide on funding priorities for the community
  • To determine the distribution policy (balance between immediate impact vs. endowment fund)
  • Solicit, and support where necessary, applications to the Fund
  • Make recommendations regarding proposed successful applications and size of grants
  • Monitor the development of the Fund and the impact and effectiveness of grants made.

Fund Development Committee

The purpose of the Fund Development Committee is to oversee and promote fund-raising activities for the Kinross-shire Fund.
